The Pamida Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to improving
the lives of citizens in the more than 200 communities in which we
do business. Since 2000, the Foundation has contributed more than
$4.5 million to local charitable organizations, benefiting more than
800 nonprofit groups. The Foundation is funded by the generous support
of the company’s supplier partners through the annual Pamida
Foundation Charity Event.
- In 2008, the Pamida Foundation awarded over $700,000 to organizations in all Pamida store communities,
as well as Omaha, Nebraska and Lebanon, IN.
- The Pamida Foundation donates to a food
bank in every Pamida market during the holiday season each year.
In 2008, nearly $200,000 was given to support families in need of
assistance.
- Each year the Pamida Foundation donates
funds to schools in every Pamida community in conjunction with
a customer matching funds program. With the partnership of our loyal customers, over $45,000 was donated to school districts in Pamida towns.
Our Focus
The Pamida Foundation is focused on supporting the education of youth in our communities, assisting individuals with disabilities, families in need, and the under privileged.
Pamida considers one funding request per organization each calendar
year, so that our resources can be shared with as many deserving
organizations as possible. The Pamida Foundation hosts bi-monthly meetings to review requests that support the Foundation mission.
- To be considered for a grant, an organization
must be a federally tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization,
a school, a library, or a public agency.
- Applications for funding, along with required
supporting documentation, must be received at the Pamida Corporate
office a minimum of 60 days in advance.
- The Pamida Foundation focuses on organizations
serving Pamida communities. Organizations that do not fall

for funding.
