February 5 – 12 Pamida celebrated the Boy Scouts
of America’s 96th anniversary by offering a 15%
discount to all Scouts. The team at the Standish, MI
Pamida invited their local troops to the store for cake
in honor of their anniversary. |

Hometown
Heroes Appreciation Day The New Hampton, IA
Pamida sponsored the First Annual “Hometown Heroes
Appreciation Day” on August 13, 2005 to honor
local emergency service organizations. The activities
included demonstrations from the Rescue Squad, fire
safety training, fire truck tours, and much more. The
participation from the community was outstanding and
we look forward to making this a yearly event. |
Newaygo,
MI Pamida Holds a Benefit Concert
The team at Newaygo, MI held a concert inside the store
on December 10, 2006, to raise money for the NCCS Emergency
Food Pantry. The performer, Michael Burns, is an up
and coming Country Music artist. Customers were asked
to donate non-perishable food for the local food pantry
as admission to the concert. The performance drew a
huge crowd and raised $510 and 357 pounds of food for
the food pantry. We thank Michael for the excellent
entertainment and for partnering with us to help our
community.

Glasgow, MT Pamida Bike Rodeo for Safety
On July 27, the Glasgow, MT Pamida, in conjunction
with the local Police Department, held a Bike Rodeo
for local children to promote bicycle safety. Every
child in attendance received a free helmet and other
giveaways. Members of the Police Department provided
bike inspections, and certificates were awarded to those
who passed the safety course. Everyone had a blast,
all while learning about bike safety.

Santa
Clause is Coming to Trenton!
The Pamida team at Trenton, MO partnered with 12 local
businesses for their “Santa Clause Is Coming to
Town” event. Santa arrived by helicopter to the
Trenton store. A local radio station broadcasted the
event live. Kettle corn, root beer floats, and gift
wrapping were sold to benefit various organizations
in the community. Pictures were taken of the children
with Santa and printed on the spot for donations to
the gift tree. Santa was also awarded the key to the
city. Not only did everyone have a blast, but $375 was
raised for the gift tree and $34 for the Food Bank.

Centerville,
TN Bike Rally
The team at Centerville partnered with the Fraternal
Order of Police for a Bike Rally to benefit the Women
Are Safe organization in Centerville. This Women Are
Safe organization supports women who are abused or battered
and provides them shelter and other resources. Money
was raised for the organization by donations and t-shirt
sales. Pamida was the first and last stop on the bike
route.

Pamida Holds First Annual Military Week
In honor of Veteran’s Day, on November 7 - 12,
2005, Pamida held our first annual Military Week to
honor military personnel, veterans, and their families
by offering them a 15% discount off their purchases.
Many stores invited local military personnel and veterans
to the store to celebrate Veteran’s Day with cake
and coffee.
